How to Set Up IPTV on MAG Box

MAG boxes from Infomir are purpose-built IPTV receivers rather than general Android devices. They run their own system, need no app installation at all, and are configured with a portal URL — but they require the provider to register the box's MAC address first.

Setting up MAG Box, step by step

1. Find your MAC address — It is printed on a sticker underneath the box and also shown under Settings → System Settings → About. It looks like 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX.
2. Send us the MAC address — Message it to us on WhatsApp. We register it against your line — this step is mandatory and nothing will work until it is done.
3. Enter the portal URL — Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals. Enter the portal URL we send you in Portal 1 URL and give it any name.
4. Restart the box — Save, exit and restart. The portal loads on boot and your channel list appears with the guide already attached.

Tips that save you time

MAG boxes are ethernet-first — use the cable, the Wi-Fi on older models is poor
The MAC address is tied to one line, so tell us if you change or replace the box
MAG 322, 324, 420 and 540 all work the same way; the 540 handles 4K

Why does my MAG box say 'portal not found'?

Either the MAC address has not been registered yet, or the portal URL has a typo. Send us both and we will check them against our records.

Do MAG boxes support 4K?

The MAG 420 and 540 do. Older models including the popular 322 are limited to 1080p.

Is a MAG box better than a Firestick?

More stable and purpose-built, but far less flexible — it does one job. If you only want live television it is an excellent choice.
